Day 2 Jensen's 1st letter

Boy, I tell you what...that's the best present ever!
He said that he's doing good and learning lots and changing already. He met 7 other elders that are going to his same mission. He has a companion named Elder Herrin that also played soccer for sparta and went to salt lake community college. Tuesdays are his p-days and that he's allowed to write then but since they just got there they were allowed to write right away...And then he gave me a list of things he needs...

patriarchal blessing
money
nail clippers (I packed him some, he just needs to find them hehe)
journal
deodorant

And in closing "I testify that God loves me and every single person on this earth. He watches over us and guides us. I love and miss you mom, dad, Christian, and Ty, and Adi." (I read that last part to Adi)

In case you want to write him too here is his MTC address:
Elder Jensen Andrew Smith
MTC Mailbox #243
IA-DMOIN 0810
2005 North 900 East
Provo, Utah 84604-1793

P.S. Also I just learned (thanks Phyllis!) that UPS (here in Provo) sends letters for free and packages for a discounted rate of 3$ (up to 5lbs) to the MTC. We just sent him a package yesterday and it's delivered the same day. So fresh goodies could be made and he could have them in a matter of hours. I went to the one on Bulldog Ave. next to McDonalds. The MTC does not allow hand/personal deliveries.

  1. In addition to the above, DearElder.com is also great, you can type up letters and they'll get them the same day if sent before noon, or they'll get them the next day if sent after. And it's free! Yay!

  2. And even better I just found out...now that Jensen is almost done...but Christian will be there for a couple months in a couple months. "The BYU" has a mail service that delivers every day to the MTC for only $1.-$5 for 15 lbs. Need to be there by 3 p.m.
