What does exact obedience mean to you?
exact obedience means following the spirit to the most exactness as i can. sure there are rules of the mission and yes we much stive to keep them but the spirit is the most improtant thing to follow in this work. so there for we need to listen to the spirit every second of our lives.

Best thing that happened this week?
best thing that happend this week was we had a family that i really really enjoy make some costa vida yesterday!!! mmmmmm so good!! it totally reminded me of home! :)

What is something that you learned this week?
something that i learned this week is that while tracting is great the real work is in the members. yes the missionaries help a lot but the members are where its at. its about finding your friends who don't have the key in this gospel.
Do you write in your journal? regularly?
mmm i try really hard. there is no real excuse as to why i don't. its off and on. some weeks im pretty good and some im just horrible. :(

  1. John wishes he wrote more. Your letters home will help keep track of your experiences and growth. My parents bound my brothers' letters into a book and gave it to them for Christmas. They didn't have time to write everything home, so their journals contained the more spiritual and detailed information. My brother, Richard, wrote everyday. He had a lot of journals. He had them shipped home. The box of journals that was shipped home was lost in the mail.

I remember years later, Richard received a phone call from someone in Europe (or somewhere over seas) trying to contact him. This call happened during a family reunion so it was fun to experience with him. The people calling came across some books that ended up in one of their boxes that was in storage. Apparently the post office repacked the broken boxes and his books ended up somewhere in a different box. Crazy as he served in Washington DC and his journals ended up over seas. I'll have to follow up and see what happened. I know he didn't get all of them back. I know he was crushed when the box was lost.

Your journals will be appreciated by your future (and current) family. My kids love reading John's mission journal.

The BOM is a journal too ;o)
