313 days left

well this one is going to be a fast one. we had our pday spent up with moving the sisters and driving everywhere!!! we need the whole day for pday. anyway its been good. haha

we had our first game day weekend for the hawkeyes. they unfortunatly lost but we had a blast contacting people in the streets. they sometimes were too drunk to talk to so we just gave them mormon.org cards and sent them on their way.

one story is we were walking down the street trying to get to the stadium and we had just left our apartment when these students were just out on this little porch that was maybe a couple inches from the ground and they were drinking and they shouted "go mormons!" and then one girl shouted "do you have a bible? i need a bible!" she was being sarcastic and so i shouted back "no we don't have a bible but we have a book of mormon!" so we walked over to where they were standing and had a nice conversation with them. haha had a lot of questions asked to us. like we don't drink, and how we are virgins and all that weird stuff that they would think would be funny and embarrassing to ask us. which i was like kinda laughing inside at how intoxicated they were and all the questions they were asking us. so they asked us questions and we gave that girl a book of mormon and she was about to take it but then this guy came out and was like. "your not going to read it you're just going to trash it! give it back to them" and she was thinking about keeping it and then he insisted again and she was like, "he's making me give it back." i was kinda frustrated at that guy but oh well. people's agency. can't do a thing about it.

we were able to find a couple people home that we haven't ever found home which was nice. we were able to gain the trust and squeeze our way in and get a return apointment. the work is picking up for the YSA elders here! i love it!

well thats about it for now!  i love you and miss you so much! can't wait to hear from you again!

love

Questions:

Did you do any service this week?  Do you plan it out..like every week you have to do some?
well we have planned service every week. we give service to this place called pathways. it's an adult day care center and i absolutely love it! haha sooo super funny to be with these people. :) haha they sometimes do the funniest things. and then we volunteer at a crisis center/food bank and its pretty cool to see how much these people who are less fortunate be able to get the necessary needs they need to feed their family of sometimes 6 to 7!  totally awesome! and thats our planned service for the week. and when the unplanned service arises, like today we usually have a clear schedule and so we are able to pencil it in.

Did you get your 30 contacts?
no we haven't gotten our thirty contacts yet. we are working our way up though!

How was your shot?  The other day I was taking Ty to get his hair cut (his decision) at the byu...then he wanted to go out to get a drink...I said "where are you getting all this money?...he said...Miraculously I had an extra 100 dollars put in my account a couple days ago...that got me thinking that maybe the money was deposited into the wrong account...So did you finally get that money.  I think I put it in right this time...
hahaha miraculously just appeared 100 bucks in his account. what a nerd bomber. yeah i got the money and i went and bought the bike stuff and now am just waiting to get a car so we can go on our own time and not have someone take us. having a car share is some times sooo frustrating. and not only with the sisters. the elders here now have a car share. that's the reason we had to switch to the sisters and the big hunkin dodge caravan!

Got anymore new prospects?
no new prospects yet. hopefully we will continue with our old one and get her on the path again.

Best thing this week?
best this week was being able to teach gospel principle about repentance. i learned so much from studing and teaching that lesson. i loved it! so good to have a refresher.
