hey mommacita, this week has been amazing! we haven't had as many teaching opportunities as i would have liked we were able to set a baptismal date with a girl that we have been working with! soo awesome! and also transfers happened on thursday and yeah zach went home and i was able to go to transfer meeting since i lived in iowa city. :) pretty convinient. anyway so yeah got to go to transfer meeting see all those in my MTC district. yeah...thats weird, i saw everyone that came to iowa that was in my district at the MTC! thats pretty awesome! and we have a lineage picture again! pretty sweet. i'll send those today.
so the baptismal invite went like this. so sunday we got a new branch president who is sooooooo cool!! he played football on a scholarship to utah state. he could have gone to either byu or u of u but chose to go to u state instead. haha he said that the coach was a smooth talker and thats why he went. haha funny guy. he was when he played 295 lbs and ran a 4.8 in the 40 meter dash. so pretty good pleading...no but its pretty good for a 300 pound guy. now he hasn't played for a while and is down to about 240 pounds and is pretty hugh. he puts up like almost 500 lbs on a bench! haha crazy!!!!! anyway he also served in the arizona mission speaking sign language! and so now he is going into audiology here at iowa university. pretty sweet. so we brought him along for our lesson last night and we had it at a center for latinos and native americans. so she is kind of a greeter to people who come in and want to study or look around or something, but anyway we had our lesson there and just in the kitchen. it was a great lesson. before this lesson we had committed her to baptism if she found out if the book of mormon was true and so we had our lesson on the plan of salvation this time. we used the pamphlets that they give us which are super helpful! they explain everything so clearly and precisely. so we just read through that with her and asker her if she had any questions and she really understood it well. after that we felt prompted to commit her to a date and she was hesitant but we made her a promise that she will be ready and that we will be there for her every step of the way and so she finally after i made her that promise, she accepted. she is now getting baptized on the 29th of september. soooo awesome!!!!!
thats how my week went! not much else to say after that! i can't believe that ty is taking honors physiology! holy cow does he want to do something like that for a living? hmmm weird. and also for pictures i will send home a few. :) some of me at transfer meeting and some with me in and pointing at an Audi R8!!! it was pretty buck. hahahaha
Is it getting to be transfer time?
yep transfers just happened this last thursday and won't happen again until oct 4th two days before conference!!!
Who has been your favorite companion and why?
i don't know. i think that elder tekanene is my favorite one that i have had fun with but all together i think my companions have helped me grow and so i am thankful for all of them. even though i sent half of them home. :) hahaha
Can you believe that Elder Excell is home now?
yeah that is pretty weird. we got a couple good hugs in before he left for home and some pictures. :) i really enjoy elder curtis now. lol now that i don't have to spend every waking minute with him. he's pretty funny. :)
Sister Michelle sent us some pictures of you at family home evening. You and a little and Elder Curtis are putting speghetti together...like teamwork or something?
haha yeah i love that family! so yeah im pretty sure you've heard of people doing this but we were trying to get the spaghetti as high as we could with limited tape and time. umm, i don't really remember what we were supposed to learn from that. sorry cannon family.

Is your eye doing ok? better? Was it hurting you?
yeah my eye is doing fine. just black underneath my eyeball. it itches from time to time but i don't know if thats from my eye or if it just itches. hmm. no it didn't hurt at all! just a little swipe of a finger and my face gets all angry at me and goes black. so i have determined that i have a wimpy face. so hopefully nobody punches me in the face other wise i might just break into pieces.
