hey momma. this week was great! Elder seeley says Hello Family. ha he's our ZL. funny guy. anyways transfers are on thursday and im stayin here! surprise surprise! :) haha anyway we were able to meet with our investigator and had a super spiritual lesson. we brought along with us a recent convert of a couple months and he was a great addition to our teaching method. we taught our inves. the restoration and after invited her to read the BOM and then had a kneeling prayer with her and after asked her to be baptized! she said that she would when she recieved that confirmation that the BOM was true. so pretty good week here in the ysa branch. :)
things are picking up here in iowa city. school starts today and there are so many more people here than a couple weeks ago. crazy how much a school city grows in a couple days. and its super busy. but hey that means more work here in iowa city for us!! :)
i don't have much else to report on except the fact that church basketball is so much more brutal than you think it is, especially when you are playing with a bunch of other missionaries. you get black eyes!!!! haha
the first picture is of our district here in iowa city and the other two are of me with my lower black eye. :)
hi, my name is jens and church basketball doesn't like me.
love you all and can't wait till next week!
love

Got any pictures of your apartment? Were you able to send anything home yet?
no i don't have pictures of my apartment. and no i haven't sent anything home yet. sorry. i will today.
How are the pants? Are they too big? too small? shirts and garments good?
the pants are great!!! thank you so much. the black pants are a little big but other than that the other pants work well. i gave a pair to elder tekanene cause they were a little too short so i gave them to him. he needed them. :) twas nice. :)
Best food this week?
best food this week has been whats called tatortot casserole. super yummy!!! its kinda like shepards pie but with steak fries on top of the meat and veggies.
I hope things start hopping for you now that school is back in session. Sad over here with everyone heading back to school ... the single's ward in our stake will be shrinking as everyone heads back to UT or ID for school. Kendall cried a river today when Julia/Daeia left. My heart was heavy and my eyes were full. These times are good ... especially in the mission field when you are serving in a single student area!
