day 33 Questions Answered... this really made me laugh out loud!!!

1. How have you liked Elder Excell? What is the best thing about him? He seems soooo sooo nice and happy (from his blog). Does he smile all the time? How long will you be with him?  

Elder Excell is so cool!! he is really nice and he is a great teacher and is a great example to me. no he doesn't smile all the time. its pretty rare when i get him to smile. i think i will be with him for about two transfers/three months.

2. How long does the racing go on? All month? Do you get to watch any? or would you even like to? too red neck for you?

the racing has been over for about a week and a half now. it was only fri. sat. and the first part of sun. it was so loud too! like till midnight we would be hearing all of the cars racing. crazy!! no we weren't able to watch cause it was so expensive and yeah i think i would have liked to watch. they seemed pretty cool.

3. Do you still have blisters? Or are they getting better? We did pack those moseskins right?

yeah i still have blisters but they only appear when we do some major walking or tracting. no i think the moseskins stayed with moses (was that a joke?!! was he making fun of me???)  but no the moleskin was in christians stuff.

4. You mentioned that you had dinner with a veteran and someone from england? What'd you end up eating?

yeah he was a kooky guy but really funny. haha yeah the lady was from england and we ended up eating spaghetti that was really good.

5. Ty wants to know if you've made any cookies yet? Cookies? we have cookies?

no i haven't made cookies. we don't have all the ingredients.

6. What did you have to speak on on Sunday?

well the sunday after i got there i spoke on serving your neighbor and this last sunday i had to speak again about being able to stand on your testimony.

7. How do you prepare for a talk? Are you able to search online? Look at lds.org? Or just from scriptures and personal references?

nope. i just searched for some quotes from preach my gospel and scriptures and some personal references.

8. So even if you're going to be at your apartment for quite some time...like 3-6 months (am I loco? is that right? or will it be shorter?) how come we can't send you letters at your apartment? We will do whatever you say. What if I wanted to send you a pizza...where would I send it? (watch out...this is the funny part!!!)

hehe yeah thats right but i would rather you send every thing to the mission office and then they can just send it that way. then i don't have to mess with every thing and they don't have a fit. i think the pizza would be a little cold and old by the time it would get to me. it usually takes about three or four days for the mission office to recieve any thing and then send it on. so i would assume that a packedge would take even longer.

9 Have you seen a thunder storm like the one that you recorded? I found your old iowa blog...I thought I had deleted it and looked at some old posts and saw the video that you recorded the thunder storm outside your dorm.

oh yeah!! haha i totally forgot about that blog. but no it hasn't really stormed like that yet but im sure once we get into the fall area like sep or oct. we will see some sweet things.

10. Do you need anything? besides the stuff that you previously ordered. We're working on getting you some new shoes too.

um i don't think i need anything else. i do need some new shoes though. i was going to ask you to put some money on my card so i could go and get some.

11. Where did Elder Herrin end up going?

um...i don't know. he just email me like an hour ago and i was going to email him anyways which was sweet.

12. Want any recipes? or are you just eating tons of corn and ramen?

sure i would like some recipes but we don't have a lot of ingredients. maybe for some cookies but we don't really have that much time in our appartment. but yeah what ever you send me i will try and use.
