day 40

Well i don't really have a lot to say about this week but that it went by really slow. We have been gaining lots of investigators but its going to be a really slow process of getting them to commit to something but we are working on it. There is this lady that we went to see and she is an investigator who i think could really go all the way. She is heavily involved with drugs and really wants a way out. She got admitted to the Pella hospital for a staff infection on her chin and so we visited her there on thursday and had a really spiritual experience with her. We had brought along our Branch Mission Leader who was involved in drugs and he talked with us about the addiction and how she can overcome it just like our mission leader did. it was so awesome the way the spirit can take over a conversation. We had started talking to her about her problem and she just would not stop talking back but as soon as we started bearing our testimonies about faith and enduring to the end she stopped talking all together. Awesome!

This next week we were supposed to have a full week cause we were going to go to nauvoo today but our mission leader who was going to drive us and go with us got sick last night and we weren't able to go so we are planning on next week sometime. hopefully that time will work out. so today we were supposed to go to nauvoo and wednesday we are going to go up to des moines for a training meeting for Elder Excell. so im going to be going out with some of the des moines missionaries for about an hour and a half. I'm excited for that. On thursday we are going on exchanges with the companionship in oskiloosa. so we have a full week planned for us.

Well thats about it for now. sorry it is so short. I love and miss all of you!!!!

Love,
Elder Smith

(Maybe on Wed. he'll get all the packages...very frustrating that he doesn't get them sooner.  I wonder how that all works out...do they forward them to them?  or just have them waiting at the mission office for the next time they come up.)
